CURRENT RESIDENCE: Bartlett, IL
OCCUPATION: Computer Software Support Team Lead
GREATEST LIFE EXPERIENCE: That would be a tossup between the birth of my daughter, Loren (2002), or the birth of my son, Owen (2006)
STRANGEST LIFE EXPERIENCE: Every day since their births and the ever changing learning curves of being a father...or attending a flag burning (OK, I was invited to play taps at a Local VFW during a flag decommissioning ceremony - but that's something you don't see every day)
GREATEST PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Unfortunately, I'm not a professional musician, so my answer would be: Being requested to apply for the Team Lead position being vacated by my boss at Exact Software by his boss after less than a year with the company
STRANGEST PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Interviewing potential employees at a computer network support company I worked for -- several showed up in jeans; one showed up in jeans, a T-Shirt and a NASCAR cap
UNI TRUMPET STUDIO MEMORIES: Randy asking Dave Kjar to play the D-scale -- when Dave got done Randy said, "No second octave I guess..."; Jeff Young dropping a piccolo trumpet that Bryan Bennet was going to be using to perform with during W&P Seminar and hearing Randy groan from the back of the room, "OH GAWD!!!"; Dan Zager "ruining" a Marching Band performance; Paul Waech appearing "topless" to announce Luke Miller's tuba solo at Seminar one day; talking with Matt Huddleston while he was having a cigarette behind Russell Hall the Friday of the Tallcorn Jazz festival -- a bunch of high schoolers walked past us to go into Russell and one of them said, "Ick...he's smoking..." Matt got a look on his face and then stuck his head in the door behind them and said, "Yeah, but I'm playing lead in Jazz 1, so I guess it's working out OK!" |
