GREATEST PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Playing TAPS at the funeral of the funniest man at my church. He had written his will and requested a funeral procession two months before his unexpected death and had requested that I play TAPS. I had never been that emotional or completely in touch with music before. That was a great experience! STRANGEST PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Playing the minor version of Happy Birthday with TAPS being played in the distance UNI TRUMPET STUDIO MEMORIES: When April slept through her alarm before our Cedar Rapids performance and Dr. G got stuck with me, Jeff, April and Ali all in his car - what a lucky guy! |
