UNI TRUMPET STUDIO MEMORIES: 1) While working on musical concepts in a lesson (emotions), I was VERY successful in conveying a story. RG asked me to do the same thing in Trumpet Class, but NO ONE got it! It must have been the 8:00 a.m. class time!!! 2) Laughing hysterically in a lesson after RG demonstrated a breathing technique. It brought to mind Dave Rezek and Mike Erickson who used to perform an exaggerated impersonation of RG's breathing techniques! The lesson was a bust! RG asked Dave & Mike to demonstrate their impersonation during the next Trumpet Class, but they decided it would be a bad idea! |
