GREATEST LIFE EXPERIENCE: Well, so many other people mentioned their children, so now if I don't, I'll seem cold. No, seriously - being a mother! My daughter, Lidia, is insane and I love soaking in every second I can with her!

STRANGEST LIFE EXPERIENCE: I'm pretty sure my past is littered with strange experiences, but sitting on my front porch watching mallard ducks swim by has to top it all. If the flood didn't cause our power to shut down, I'm pretty sure I would have cracked open a cold one. Instead, I cracked open a warm one. :)

GREATEST PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:  Being able to return to Iowa AND work in a field that I love. I didn't realize I was "lost" in Illinois until I moved back to Iowa. (Don't worry, Chicago, you are still near and dear to me...but they don't say "Is this heaven? No its Chicago..." do they? No, they don't)

STRANGEST PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:  Hooking "Blue Lou" Marini up with my boyfriend for a ride to O'Hare. Strange, but groovy. :)

UNI TRUMPET STUDIO MEMORIES:  I miss recital reports so much that when my little sister had to do them last year [2007] for Our Musical Heritage, I helped her. Shhhh...don't tell Bill Shepherd. Seriously, though, I remember trumpet studio being a warm, inviting place to learn and grow, thanks to Dr. Grabowski's direction. Touring Hungary with Dr. Grabowski as a featured soloist was an amazing experience. And when I think of all of my colleagues that passed through the studio when I did, I smile. I haven't spoken to many of them in years, but I have such fond memories! So great to have this site to reconnect!
