UNI TRUMPET STUDIO MEMORIES: I was too naive to really appreciate many of the great things that the '76 to '80 UNI trumpet studio had to offer. My main focus of study at the time was in the jazz department, with Rick Lawn / Bob Washut and all of the great musicians that were attending UNI at that time.
ANYTHING ELSE?: My UNI experience shaped the rest of my life as a musician, through the people that I met and played with during my time at school, to the musical and personal relationships that that still remain intact with many faculty members to this day. |
