UNI DEGREES: Bachelor of Music in Education with a Jazz emphasis, AND Bachelor of Music in Performance, December, 2007 EMAIL: CURRENT RESIDENCE: Rock Island, IL OCCUPATION: Army Inventory Management Specialist GREATEST LIFE EXPERIENCE: When the Cubs won the 2008 World Series, "Halo Nights" every Thursday in 2002, Playing the Arutunian Trumpet Concerto on the Great Hall stage, School trips to Italy and Costa Rica, and too many other everyday events at UNI to describe STRANGEST LIFE EXPERIENCE: Living with Brandon Lewis, Kyle Novak, and Ryan Hoagland for a year has to rank pretty high; some of my lessons with Dr. G got pretty strange; nowadays it's strange to pay bills and watch as people my age become adults UNI TRUMPET STUDIO MEMORIES: Sometimes before studio class started we would get a rousing trumpet version of In the Mood going- which was always very classy; listening to people each year and hearing their improvement was always astounding, and a tribute to the great studio and teaching we had; I remember that most years we had studio on Friday at noon and it was often my first class of the day - noon sounds pretty early to have a class, but it didn't feel very early after a late Thursday night! |
