July, 2011	Congratulations to Brett Fuller for his marriage to Katie MacBride (7/10). Brett has been accepted to the Biology graduate program at UNI
July, 2011	Congratulations to Danny Kleinheniz for his marriage to Kelsey Thompson (7/9). Danny has been hired to the music staff at West High School in Waterloo
June, 2011	Congratulations to Scott Hagarty (BME 02) and his wife (Mia) for the birth of their daughter - Anya Mae Hagarty - on June 20th!
May, 2011	Congratulations to Michael Prichard (BME, Dec 05) and his wife (Greta) for the birth of their son - Charles Staley Prichard - on May 11th!
May, 2011	Noah Alvarado finished classwork for his 2nd Bachelors (BME) and joined Norwegian Cruise lines for a Mediterranean summer. He'll student teach in El Paso, TX in the fall
March, 2011	Leslie Aboud, currently at the University of Iowa School of Law, accepted a position as a summer law clerk at Meardon, Sueppel, & Downer law firm in Iowa City! She also received a research assistantship for the 2011 -2012 school year
November, 2010	Wesley Keene reached the finals of the School of Music Concerto Competition
Fall, 2010	Susan Rider, BM 1989, was promoted to master sergeant (E-8) and is a member of the President's Own Marine Band
Fall, 2010	Christian Anderson, BME 2006, was awarded principal trumpet of the Lake Geneva (WI) Orchestra, made the sub-list for the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, and was offered the principal trumpet position in the Beijing Symphony
May 18, 2010	The UNI Wind Symphony played for the Dalai Lama. The trumpet section included Leslie Aboud, Brett Fuller, Aaron Askam, Kelsey Wehr, Wes Keene, and Logan Vander Wiel
May 17, 2010	Chris Van Leeuwen, BA 2008, performed in the Conservatory Project Chamber Ensemble at the Kennedy Center. Chris also won the Indiana University Brass dept. Concerto Competition
May 2010	Leslie Aboud received the Purple and Old Gold Meritorious Scholarship award in Music
May 2010	Amber (Smith) Oline received the Purple and Old Gold Conspicuous Achievement award in Music. Amber also got married to Danny Oline over the summer
May 2010	John Carmichael, MM 1995, awarded DM in Brass Pedagogy at Indiana University
March 2010	Logan Vander Wiel finished 3rd in the School of Music Performance Competition
Winter 2010	Ari Micich, MM 2009, awarded co-Principal Trumpet of the Berkley Symphony
December  2009	Bryan Bennett, MM 1996, awarded DMA at the University of Iowa
