Susan Rider, BM 1989, was promoted to master sergeant (E-8) and is a member of the President's Own Marine Band

Christian Anderson, BME 2006, was awarded principal trumpet of the Lake Geneva (WI) Orchestra, made the sub-list for the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, and was offered the principal trumpet position in the Beijing Symphony

The UNI Wind Symphony played for the Dalai Lama. The trumpet section included Leslie Aboud, Brett Fuller, Aaron Askam, Kelsey Wehr, Wes Keene, and Logan Vander Wiel

Chris Van Leeuwen, BA 2008, performed in the Conservatory Project Chamber Ensemble at the Kennedy Center. Chris also won the Indiana University Brass dept. Concerto Competition

Amber (Smith) Oline received the Purple and Old Gold Conspicuous Achievement award in Music. Amber also got married to Danny Oline over the summer
